The attached report pertains to the equipping of the compressors at Kourosh Food Industries Company with VX drives and the benefits achieved for this application. This report was prepared by Mr. Safary, Director of Parto Gostar Company. In line with the company’s defined objectives for advancing the country’s electrical industry and facilitating the exchange of diverse experiences, this report covers the project of installation and commissioning of the inverters: VX-200 KwThe products manufactured by this company are presented to one of the largest food production companies in the country as follows:
Screw compressors are among the most widely used equipment found in various industries. In many cases, their output pressure is controlled using a pressure switch, which regulates the air intake by opening and closing the inlet valve, employing a method of…On Load / Off Load Controlling the pressure of the screw compressor using an electric motor in this manner negates many of the advantages that proper control could provide.,Energy loss occurs because the electric motors run continuously at their nominal (rated) speed., Significant electrical and mechanical wear occurs, accompanied by low efficiency. ,Very high starting current., High electrical and mechanical stresses with each start. On Load / Off Load, High wear and tear on compressor consumables, such as lubricating oils and air/oil filters., And significant fluctuations in the output pressure and lack of precise stability are among the issues of the old control method for this type of compressor. The use of a VFD (inverter) addresses all the above problems. After presenting the above explanations to the technical, electrical, and control managers of the esteemed Kourosh Food Industries Company, in the year 1394 (2015), the company initially procured a test unit of one of the low-power inverters produced by this company. Following the observation of the tangible benefits mentioned above, within less than a month, they requested the installation and commissioning of the inverter. …and after installing and commissioning the above inverter, its performance was tested over a period, and reports were obtained from various technical and electrical units. The collected reports were then compared with the pre-inverter usage data.
Within the past year, three additional compressors of similar capacity and dozens of other electric motors of various capacities have been equipped with the inverters produced by this company.
