Shahram Dasht Abadi, Board Member and Sales Manager of Parto Sanat Company, in a cordial interview with SETSA, discussed the latest innovations of his company: “The company’s new technology pertains to the MX model, specifically designed for pumps and fans. With a single drive, it is capable of controlling the motor speed of multiple pumps. For instance, if you need to supply water to a location and the required flow varies depending on conditions, by using this drive, you can regulate the pumping rate. This enables up to 30% energy savings, which in turn leads to a 30% reduction in electricity consumption and overall costs, benefiting the country’s resources as well.”
He also highlighted the knowledge-based status of Parto Sanat, stating: “All products of the company have been recognized as knowledge-based since 22/12/1394. As you are aware, a company whose more than 50% of its products are knowledge-based is itself considered a knowledge-based company.”
Engineer Dasht Abadi, while forecasting an uncertain future for the sluggish 2016 market, stated: “Since the country’s budget heavily depends on oil and our domestic revenue from value-added sources is very low, a decrease in oil prices leads to economic slowdown and reduced liquidity in working capital.”
He further added: “As long as governmental organizations and agencies do not value domestic manufacturers, we will continue our operations without a significant presence or effective role in public projects. Currently, 95% of our sales are to private companies, and only 5% to the public sector, which yields no profit due to delayed payments. On the other hand, since our products meet international standards and our production costs are much lower than those of foreign products, the public sector shows little interest in purchasing from private companies like Parto Sanat, and consequently, provides no support to domestic manufacturers.”
The Sales Manager of Parto Sanat Company, regarding the performance and improvement of the SETSA Association, noted: “SETSA is the Organization of Industrial Equipment Manufacturers, comprising mostly domestic manufacturers. However, nearly all of them, due to a lack of familiarity with Parto Sanat, tend to purchase equipment from abroad to meet their needs. If they become acquainted with the company’s capabilities and strong references, I am confident they would source their drives from Parto Sanat. Currently, the company’s produced devices have replaced products from Siemens (Germany), ABB (Switzerland), Schneider (Germany), Yaskawa-Omron (Japan), and Telemecanique (France) in major refineries across the country, including South Pars and the southern oil-rich regions, and the satisfaction of refinery managers is documented on the company’s website.”
All companies strive to purchase high-quality products at reasonable prices, which is characteristic of the private sector. Since they spend from their own budgets, they are naturally inclined toward quality and cost-effective products. However, in the public sector, as purchases are funded by the government budget, price and support for domestic manufacturing are often given little consideration, and there is a tendency to buy from abroad.”
At the end, Engineer Dasht Abadi emphasized the importance of supporting domestic production as a guiding principle for ongoing operations, and stated that neglecting such matters is the main reason for lack of job creation, which in turn undermines societal security.
